OHIP coverage in Minnesota

hi.........new here.....from Ontario......waiting for approval from my health insurance OHIP, to have surgery...RNY in Michigan......but i just discovered the Duodenal Switch and am convinced it's the surgery for me.......does anyone here know any Ontarians who've had it done in Minnesota.......I live close the border and it would be so convenient for travel.......also i've be reading up on Dr. Henry Buchwald as a possible surgeon........thanks and congratulations on your success

I had RNY done in Duluth in 2005, and OHIP paid for all but the psych eval.  I'm under the  impression that OHIP will pay only for RNY--but you can research that.  Maybe they've changed things since I was looking.
