So I went in yesterday and all good news!

I am down 40% of my overall weight.  Down total 58 lbs and 26 inches.

She was very complimentary on my sucess thus far.  Although, the scale has NOT been moving and I have been working out almost everyday and am very frustrated.  She gave me the whole muscle weighs more than fat thing.

What does everyone here think?  I am eating quite well, I struggle a bit with my water.  But am getting in my protein.

I am just really hard on myself and don't want to be fat ANYMORE!   And I constantly am comparing my sucess to others and I never seem to be where everyone else is.

I have 3 month pictures posted in my blog.

Oh and the big negative, I have yet to start calcium..... So that is my next hurdle.
I have gained some great friends on this journey!

You are doing great, Jess - 40% in 3 months?  That's NOTHING to sneeze at!!

Yes, muscle weighs more than fat.  Yes, your body needs to take breaks from dropping pounds to "snug up".

It also seems fairly typical that as we reach a weight where we have previously spent a fair amount of time, our body stops there for a while.  As if "Hey - I remember being this weight for quite a while!  I think I'll just hang here for a spell..."

Just make a serious effort to get tha****er in, that's a big deal.  And the calcium?  GET ON IT, GIRL!  You don't want your body to start taking it from your bones, do ya?

You look fabulous.  Take a deep breath, stop comparing yourself to others, and just do the right things day after day.  You didn't put it on overnight, or even over 3 or 6 months - give yourself time to take it off at a reasonable rate.  You'll get there!!!

(did those pants work for ya?)

WOW!  You are doing great at 3 months out!

Comparing is the hardest thing to overcome - but we all take this journey different -

I found I lose in spurts - lose a chunk and then plateau - lose a chunk and plateau - during the plateaus though sometimes i think my body is just reorganizing where it has lost - and the way i look at it - staying the same is a lot better than going UP!

Best wishes on your continued success!

You are doing amazing! Before you know it you will be dropping sizes within weeks. It was right around my 4th and 5th month that I was dropping sizes every 2 to 3 weeks.

I think your doing awesome.......Give youself credit......I went down your road where I campared myself to others, DON'T DO IT......We all are different shapes & sizes and will all loose differently.....You will have STALL's along the way, That's just the body trying to figure out what's going on.......

The most important things are Protein, Water, Exercise, Vitamins.....If your doing all that then your on the right track......

Hang in there........The weight will keep coming off.......

I agree with the preceding posts. However, do take regular measurements, because when the scale won't budge, the inches continue moving downward for you!  You're doing fantastic! Be gentle with yourself dear...Hugs, Patti

Thanks for all the nice words.  I am my TOUGHEST critic and I need to be nicer to me.  If anyone treated me the way I treat myself.  UGH!

The support I get from here and PNC meetings is just invaluable.  Thank yoU!
