3 Yr Post Op Update

For those of you who wanted to know;  My results were all good except for my "Iron" and "Copper".  My "Iron" is always low as I have problems with it.  I am going to try a new one AGAIN as soon as I get them.  My "Iron" was 9 and my Copper was elevated.  Possibly to compensate for the low "Iron".  Not bad for 10 vials of blood, I asked if they were really going to test all of it or save some for Halloween.

My Vitamin "D" was good, but I felt a quart low when I walked out.

I'm surprised that your vitamin D is so low, Farrah.  You live in the land of Sunshine!

Oh my...using the rest for Halloween. Have you heard cooking in a cast iron pan will help up your iron? I think I read that when I was pregnant and my iron was low.

My mother used cast iron skillets, I remember washing them.  They weighed a ton!  I have a couple cast iron pots but they are enamal covered, so that would do no good.  It makes sense that iron would come off in your food when you scrape the surface since aluminum comes off in your food when you scrape it.  That's why they say use stainless steel which is mostly what I have.  The aluminum has been blamed for contributing to Alzheimers, that's why they also tell you not to use deoderant/anti-perspirant with aluminum in it.  I try not to as this girl has no extra brain cells to play with!
