It is just me....

Just an up date of the times and trials of me LOL

I returned to work on Sept 29Th. It was to be a short work week due to a teachers in service day. I made it ALL four days!! I was very tired at the end of school but managed to make it home and take a nap.

Then the next week of school went ok, the kids are a very needy group this year. The student who would be rated as our lowest in class last year, is now the highest in class this year. This is a huge flip around.
That is what happens when you work in special education. Expect the UN-expected and except the best! Is my motto.

My health- Is ok, I am still not feeling that energy everyone talks about having. I get tired and need some naps.LOL. My eating comes and goes. Some days/meals I can eat 1/4 of a cup of food and another meal/day I can eat a cup.

My weight has been at a stand still almost a month now- kinda bummed out about that. I hear it is ok and soon the weight will just fall off. There is nothing I can do but wait and see.

I have in the last day started retaining water in my lower legs. This was a problem before surgery and I took the lowest dose of a water pill by Rx. I wonder if that will be a need again or even something I can be able to do.

I have a funny to share- On Friday morning while getting ready for work I wanted something to drink. I am so sick and tired of- water, crystal lite, propel, powerade zero.. I made myself a nice tall cup of tea with splenda. I know doc G said no caffeine for now when I had surgery-he didn't say for how long. Maybe he will toss me under the bus for this, who knows. Anyways, that cup of tea was GRAND! I was so happy, laughing, smiles and full of energy at work! Co-workers were giggling saying oh now we know what you would of been like in your drinking days- FUN! I was having a caffeine HIGH! I have never (that I remember) experienced this before. I always drank soda and then once I gave that up I went to coffee for about 2 yrs prior to surgery, so I always had a supply of caffeine in my blood system. I think back on Friday and have to chuckle I finally know what people were talking about all these yrs of having a buzz from soda, coffee etc.. I was one of them if even for just that morning LOL

I go back to Doc G on the 23rd for my follow up of 2ND surgery. I will then ask him if I can have coffee or tea and if it HAS to be decaf or can I have leaded LOL

I have done my measurements for the month and will post them on that blog but I will give you the total on this one-

(drum roll)

I have lost a total of 32.75 inches from neck to ankles.
Time to get my day moving- October fest at the mall, walking to do,things and crafts to look at and I am sure things to buy LOL

Take care

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH Kelly-

Thanks for the update.  I totally hear you about the kids in your class.  I am currently working with 29 kindergarteners, talk about the unexpected.
I haven't tried caffeine post surgery, but know that many people have gone back to small amounts of it post-op.  It will be interesting to see what your doctor has to say about it.
Hope you enjoyed the October fest!

Hi Tink~
Thanks for an update!  It might take a while for you to get your energy back. Everybody is different  (like you've never heard that before!) and the same thing goes for weight loss/inches.  The inches you've gotten rid is nothing to sneeze at--
WTG!!

Hope you continue to feel better.
