OT: The good in people
After coffee in West St. Paul this morning I stopped at Wally world to pick up a few things. Well, my brain must have farted and I left my purse in my cart when I left the store. I realized it when I got to Cub and went back and it was GONE!!! I talked to loss prevention and customer service and unfortunately they saw someone take my purse with them as they left. After calling the police I called my bank and canceled my debit card and checks. I then stopped at Target and cancelled that card....... Then came home and was on my cell phone canceling another card when my phone rang. It was a couple from West St. Paul that had found my purse in the cart and everything was in it. I will be meeting them tonight to pick it up. It is so nice to know that there are still honest people in this world. I of course will have to wait for all of my new cards and re set up my auto payments, but it is a small price to pay for my own stupidity of leaving my purse in the first place.
The best thing- I didn't stop and eat when all this happened- I found better ways to deal with the stress!!

Oh Reeny,
I am so glad that this worked out for you! My Mom was on a visit up here and left her purse at the Honey Baked Ham restaurant in Burnsville. Well, it was stolen, most likely by an employee. They didn't waste any time to charge on her credit cards and her debit card. She was responsible for none of the charges. The worst thing was she had $300 in cash that was lost.
BUT, believe it or not, in the next visit up, she left her wallet in a cart at CUB. I was beside myself as was she. This time around, the cashier found it and took it to customer service and they had it. Mom wanted to reward the cashier but she refused. There is GOOD out there!
Hope to see you next week! Hope all is well.
