This morning is the first time that I threatened to get out my thermals!!!!  BRRRRRRR, it was cold at 4am!!!

I remember my first winter (I had RNY 12-12-06) and it was plesant as my journey just begun.  I was out and about with my kids sledding and ice skating.  Then 2007 winter I was a freeze baby and well I kinda hibernated......my poor kids!  I watched them from the window!

NOW, I will be 2 yrs out and I am not looking forward to the chilly temps!  ESPECIALLY after this morn and how frozen I was!  I sooooo want to be like I was the first year!  Out and about having fun and not freezing!!!

How does everyone else feel about the up coming season????

HUGS & Blessings!!

Sandie,

I'm not looking forward to it at all.....At 40-50 degree's I'm cold.....What's going to happen when it gets to 0 degree's or below?

My 5 year old LOVES winter.......Loves to be outside.....So my hubby found these really good long underware at Cabela's, I think they cost about $80, but if it keeps me warm, it's worth every penny.......

To save on heating costs, I'll be wearing regular long underware in the house.....And a heated blanket......What else can we do?

I hate the cold now, but love being outside so I suffer. I always have the heat set at 70 or higher and drink LOTS of coffee.

I must be the only WLS person that doesn't get cold. I was cold for about 2 weeks way back when immediately after surgery, and now I'm not. It doesn't have anything to do with living in Florida - I wasn't cold back in MN either.

Gonna be 87 today here.

I'm with Farrah, of course, both of us moved on down to Florida, so I guess we really don't count as far as cold temps. I guess it gets down to about 68-70 at night, and so far I am comfortable with that, during the day it is high 80's. Yet, if i was still in MN, I know I would be cold. Last winter I wore 3-4 layers to work, and I was still freezing, I even wore my jacket most days at the office. SO, moral of my post, if any of you are getting cold up there in MN, come on down to Florida to visit, it is warm, and we can go hang out on the beach together!!

Hey Sandi

I have the perfect cure for the cold Minnesota weather..........MOVE TO NEVADA!!!!

I love the weather here. Even in Reno, the northern part of Nevada, our winter was about 6 weeks long. We had our worst winter in years last year and we got about 4 inches of snow and it lasted for a whole 6 days......wow  We had about 5 days of really, really cold weather......it got to 28 degrees  LOL

Sending warm hugs to everyone in Minnesota for warm sunny Nevada

Hugs

I have been freezing my tush off so I bought leggings and vests to help with the layers. I think we will be burning alot more fires this year. I hate being cold.I makes me want to stay in a nice warm bed all day.

Said jokingly from the pre-op to the post-ops:  : Quit your *****ing and be thankful you don't have sweat attacks anymore. (At least not from being fat)   Anyone can ping me on this next year, but I swear I don't care how many pairs of socks and layers I need after I lose my weight, anything is better than hot and sweaty. A N Y T H I N G.
