www.hungry-girl.com proclaimed today is World Food Day, so I'm just going to roll with this here.
 
I was thinking it might be kind of fun to see what everyone is eating these days. It may help some pre-ops to see portions and items being eaten at the various stages of your WL journey and it may help some post-ops that are nearing the same timeframe out from surgery that you are, or it may even help some get back on track.

So, let's start with breakfast. What did you eat???

I just had a Jimmy Dean Delight Turkey Sausage egg & cheese muffin, minus 1/2 the muffin........

Lunch will be 3/4 cup of Chilli

Dinner will be Turkey Burger minus the bun, with green beans, grapes

I had one scrambled egg ( almost ) and two slices of maple bacon!   I needed a good protien punch this morning,  :)

  135 and making it work for ME !

My pre-breakfast breakfast was a protein shake with cream.  Once I was ready to eat, I had a 2 egg, 2 sausage link (cut up), & half-cup of shredded cheese omelet/scramble.

Breakfast:   1/2c. Cottage Cheese
             1/2c. Raspberry Yogurt

Snack:     Protein Bar w/21 gm protein

Lunch:     Deli Turkey Slices with Pepper Jack cheese

Supper:    ????~ going out for anniversary so I am not sure what I will have

I normally haven't responded to these food diary posts so I don't scare anyone with a 5 year post-op diet that can be ugly at times.  But...what the heck, I'll play.

Breakfast:  1/2 cup dry Fiber One cereal (the twig kind) on my way in to work
1 can low-carb Slim fast once I got to work

Snack:  couple mini Nestle crunch bars

Lunch:  Red Robin:  Salmon burger without the bun - ate half the salmon and a few fries with tartar sauce and ketchup.  (Salmon was so-so or I would have finished it)

Snack:  maybe a couple Oreos?

Supper:  Going to Punch Pizza with friends.  Probably will eat half my pizza, depending on how long we sit there and yak.

Well I've only had time for bfast and lunch ...

Bfast:
protein shake
All vitamins
1 Cup cashews, almonds and peanuts on the ride to work

Snack:
apple w/ peanut butter
venti coffee with cream and splenda

Lunch:
Thai Restaurant
2 chicken wings
beef / mushroom stirfry 1/2 c.
chicken curry 3/4 c.
cantaloupe

Snack:
boiled egg
bratwurst
saurkraut
2 milk chocolate truffles

Planning ahead -
Dinner:
BBQ Pork Steak - 7 oz.
Baked potatoe - small
Sour cream
butter
green beans - 3/4 c


Evening snack at movie theatre:
popcorn
lots of butter!
hot tamales candy - wohoo!

Before Breakfast: 8oz Nestle Fat Free Hot Chocolate

Breakfast: 1 egg fried w/ Pam, 2pcs low carb/high fiber Wheat Bread W/ SF Jelly

Lunch: 3oz Lean Ground Beef Patty, 1/8C Fat Free Refried Beans, 1 slice Reduced Fat Co-Jack, 1tsp Medium Taco Sauce

Snack: 1 bagel bite, 1 small Chocolate Chip Cookie (w/ my son for his Birthday )

Dinner: 3oz Pork Roast, 2oz Steamed Potatoes, 1/2C steamed vegetables, maybe a couple of tablespoons of Gravy

5'5 ... 3CC's in a 10CC Band (6 fills... Unfill on March 4th, 2009 - very tight after flying)

Let's see ...

breakfast -  1 banana and 1 mango yogurt

lunch - ceaser salad and focaccia bread  (my office ordered pizza for boss day and I didn't like it...too yuppy for me...i dont think artichokes belong on pizza)

snack - honey crisp apple

dinner - not sure yet what the plan is.  gonna go for a walk first and see what strikes my fancy once I get home.  definitely some protein.  I have to work on getting more in these days.

Back in the day, world food day would have been a day of feasting!!!   amazing how much your mindset changes post op.
