OT How do you know if you have Pink Eye?

My eyes for about five days have been itchy and red red... not like some pics I have seen but Oooo I want to scratch them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there any matter coming from them? That would definitely clue you in.

Sounds like you may have it. Get thee to Dr. ASAP for Rx. Only surefire way to get rid of it.

If it's not that, you could also have allergies. I get those in the spring & OMG, I have to put cold washclothes on my eyes every night that's how bad they itch. Like I have to freeze them.

But since it's contagious, don't mess around with it any longer.

Thanks Doll... I have an apt. at three thirty!   No discharge just itchy as hell and when I put in drops burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrns then feels better!

Oh, without a doubt, you're going to love the Rx drops - they will soothe.

I've always been told that if you wake up and your eyes are crusted shut, then its pink eye.  I'd suggest trying an allergy eye drop and see if it clears up.  If not, then an MD appointment is likely.  If you are a contact lense wearer, then maybe you have an infection.  I've had two nasty eye infections this past couple of months.  So I feel ya.

Cold ice packs over the eyes helps, too.

Another little tip, change your mascara every 2-3 months or sooner (can cause recurring eye infections.)  And I always told my teenage daughters  NO sharing your makeup with friends, and then home...... lots of stuff out there  (and we only get one set of peepers. )                Jen
