One of our own needs help....
A friend from the OH board sent me an email this morning. Knowing that I'm a breast cancer survivor she asked my thoughts and opions as well as asking for prayer for her dear friend (and fellow OH'r) who is currently under going breast cancer treatment herself.....
Cheri had a very bad day, today.
1st off, her blood counts still suck. Her hgb is 7, her platelets are 60, and her white count is around 3k. These aren't good numbers. The injections she gets for these just aren't helping at all.
2ndly, she had a new PET scan yesterday. They found another spot on a rib (left side this time) and one on the back of her pelvis. This firmly places her into stage 4. It could be simply because of her illness (and the skipped treatments) from the past couple of weeks.. or it could be due to the rapidly progressing cancer. Either way, it's not a good sign.
Folks, this gal is in trouble. This is a hidius cancer and usually by the time you are at "stage 4" there is no longer an active treatment plan....at this point it can usually only be dealt with as "end of life care". Although I do know of a couple of people who have lived for some time!
I don't know this gal personally but am told she has young children and a husband currently serving in Iraq. Please PRAY for this gal and her family-for a cure and peace. It sounds like she's been terribly sick despite all the doctors efforts and has even been hospitalized. I have added her to all the prayer lists that I am a part of and asked everyone I know to pray for her, please do the same-when I was diagnosed it meant so much to know that I was prayed for.
Gods Blessings to you all~

Ronda, You are a gem for posting this!! You are right Cheri needs all the support and prayers we can give at this time. She is a very wonderful woman, mother, and husband. I have known her from a different board for quite some time. It's so sad to see her suffering so much. God Bless you!! I would love to see Cheri post something like this in the future saying she's a survivor. All I can say is faith in God and prayers are the best thing we can have.
Aww Michelle, my heart just breaks for this gal and her family. God hold her and her family in his precious hands and bring this family strength and peace.
I believe she was origionally diagnosed as a "stage 3" which is what I was-it was tough and long but the treatment was worth it!!
When you next talk to her tell her a BUNCH of people are praying for her and her family.
God Bless my friend-
Oh and that baby of yours is SOOO STINKIN CUTE!!! She has grown so much but still adorable!!!
