Stressful few days

Well, next Tuesday I go for my pre-op tests, blood work, EKG etc.  Was informed this week that the company I work for is sold and we don't know who, if any of us stays.  Needless to say, I have been hitting the candy bowl, donuts, anything I can get my hands on.  Will I have a job, what about my insurance? What if I have any kind of complications after surgery (November 6).  I just can't get enough to eat, and I have to weigh in next Tuesday. Weight gain means surgery is called off.  Ok, done venting!

Give the candy and junk food away.....you must start new habits. Don't let your head win this battle!! You don't need to sabotage all you have worked for so far!!
I think your insurance will still  cover you for at least 30 days after you lose your job. Good luck with that.
I pray you don't lose your job. So many companies and business are closing . It is a tough time right now.

Thanks Connie for the words of wisdom.  I had finally come to the realization I needed this surgery  and was moving forward with that decision and I get this roadblock in the road.  For weeks this candy bowl has been sitting here and I would walk by it and watch the co-workers stuff their faces.  Now I am one of THEM.  Like my hubby says- "we will deal with whatever happens."-   wish I had that much confidence.  I know there is not a thing a person can do but wait for the outcome, but it's this waiting that is so stressful.

That sucks! Fear of losing your job and insurance sure would make me dive into the candy bowl too. If your program says you can't gain or no surgery, so try to stay focused, the 5th isn't that far off. Clear your mind of the junk you've eaten so far and just start fresh immediately- not tomorrow. You can do it!

Thank you for your words of wisdom. I stopped and got some cottage cheese and an apple for today so that will help.  I figure cottage cheese is a lot better than candy.

You've come this far, don't let "maybe's" derail you!  Move ahead with FAITH that this is supposed to happen, that you didn't jump through all the pre-op hoops just to bail at your first test!  Get rid of the evil food.  Instead of snacking, try WALKING!  Around your office, or around your neighborhood after work.  Walking (and talking to yourself, not that I do that!!  ) is a GREAT way to deal with stress!

You're so close - keep your eye on the prize!!!  You don't KNOW yet that you'll be out a job OR insurance, so proceed as planned!  It sounds like your hubby is on your side - YOU DESERVE THIS!!!

Thank you Darla.  Yes, I did not do 6 months of this following orders (sort of) to let it all go down hill now. We are waiting for the boss to come in with whatever news he has for us.  We are on pins and needles-  this worrying is for the birds.  We are praying we are worring for nothing but we know how it is 'out there'
