Still WAITING

Sigh.

My last nut appointment was on the 9/30. Medica received the request from PNC on 10/10. I don't know why it took so long. Now PNC can't call Medica about it until after the 25th, but the insurance coordinater said she usually gets the approval faster than that.

So now its the 22nd and I haven't heard anything. The 10 day lapse from PNC to Medica kinda irks me though. WTH?!?!? The nut said they would send it over electronically. I suppose it's not her job but she sounded like she knew what she was talking about.

Should I call the insurance co and check that they actually do have the request and if they need anything else? I don't know that it will do any good now that the 25th is only 3 more days. But I am TIRED of waiting!! I was *hoping* to have surgery sometime in November. Guess that's probably not going to happen now.

Maybe this is Karma coming back to bite me in the a$$ since I sat on the paperwork for 6+ months after the info session.

Medica was a pain in the keister for getting you the answer!! I went through this as well. It took them much longer to get back to me than I was first told. It doesn't hurt to call them and find out what is going on, but don't expect a clear answer. I started calling every other day, and got a different answer each time. Take a deep breath, and hang on, because once you get the answer, the ride really takes off. This was the hardest part of the whole process for me! You will be posting "I HAVE A DATE" in no time.

I have my last 2 appointments on the 29th and 31st, then they schedule!!!!

But it would have been a lot easier if they had scheduled the surgery. Oh well still moving in the right direction!!!

You could VERY WELL have your surgery in November as you hoped! I believe from my final appt. to surgery was 22 days? And - OH LOOK! SAME SURGEON!!!
