OT: OMG what a night! (long but has pics)
Thank you all for being so supportive of me! I was so nervous to go to the Emmys.. didn't know what to expect, but all I can say is WOW. It was just like what you see on TV.
For the night... I came out with four Emmys! We were so happy about the fourth one because our overall website content was up against WCCO and we won - our sad little team of two people! lol We all got to take one of the Emmys home.
For those of you who I didn't tell, I found a gorgeous black dress in my closet last minute that I LOVE so that is what I wore. It was perfect!
I feel so good sharing this with you all... because unlike some people close to me with some weird jealousy issues, I can actually tell you all about this and have sincere congrats! So thank you all so much -- I never in my life would have gone to something like this 70lbs ago... I am SO glad I went!
My mom was there, which made it wonderful! It made her year I think! Two great things happened besides the four Emmys --
#1: My college professor was there and came up to me and congratulated and hugged me. I was SO happy to see him!
#2: A reporter that used to work for KSTP (but now anchors in Duluth) was there... we were good friends when we worked together. She introduced me to her news director and they want me to come up there once in a while and report for them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked if she thought I was too fat to be on TV and she said, "I am not that kind of news director. I care about your personality." OMG... finally having a decent personality (as opposed to a skinny body) pays off! lol
