Menopause Ladies...Hot flash help??
I had a complete hysterectomy a year before my WLS. I had my WLS in Dec and all went fine. After WLS your body will release Estrogen that has been stored in fat. The more ya lose the more gets released. Have you asked your surgeon about alternative methods just in case?
In my case, things got better in the hot flash department. Only once in awhile to I feel warmer then normal BUT that is welcomed in the cooler months!!!!!
Hope all works well with you!

I'm not perfect but I am going to die trying!!!
I'm two years out now and have been in menapause for about a year...my hot flashes are like Lois', not bad...tolerable and pass quickly. RARELY do they wake me up and sometimes welcome the heat wave as I'm usually cold. I do tend to wear blouses and jackets now in the fall and winter, so in case it's a major power surge, I can take off the jacket for a while.
Good luck with it all!
