I did not get that job...
I'm working with the university group I did my placement with in putting on a Palliative Care Conference in November, so I willl ask them if I could possibly have a chance to lead a group. (Long sentence or what!) I guess any experience will be good for my resume.
Otherwise I'm too busy at the moment just trying to make ends meet and get bills paid--on minimum wage and part-time work. Not from not trying to get full-time work!!

All is well in Whoville! My guy moved in in June! Fits right in with my family and my son adores him. We've financially had some rough times, he hurt his back really bad and couldn't work for a month, but we're better for it! This is the second best (besides wls) decision I've ever made!
I started a new job today. Appt Scheduler/Biller/etc at a local hospital in their occupational health department. Soooooooooooo glad to leave my crappy job I had. Pay is basically the same after deducting for the extra gas to get there, but thats ok.
My 15 yr old son had his tonsils out last week tuesday and still home from school...he's continuing to have trouble eating solid foods. I think its mostly fear at this point. Man are boys whiney!
I meant it...you'll find the right job! When the time is right, whether its on your timeline or not!
I am so glad that things are going well for you! Who would have thought, after the situation with 'the chef,' that true love would be with your best friend and confidante?! Sometimes you just have to look in your own back yard! (So to speak..)
Thanks for the good thoughts about a job. I do believe what you said is true--just waiting for the job to appear is frustrating!
I was hoping that was the job. Another one will be yours soon. I can feel it.
Is there any groups near you that need a helpful leader? It isn't in the job field but is still experience.
I guess we get no credit for leading our kids through life. Being the leader of the house, car pools etc...
Sometimes I never made it to interviews even. I finally asked why..the answer was: my resume was boring LOL
For real!. I re did the whole format of it and spiced up the wording and tada the resume worked like a charm
I wish you lots of luck!!

I'll be asking around the university group I'm working with on a palliative care conference if there's any kind of opening for a novice leader.
If you don't ask, you won't know..
I was sent to a job hunting 'school' to learn how to tweak my resume and cover letters. My BIL, who is a professional public figure, re-did my resume and did an amazing job on it. The problem is that Thunder Bay is an social work school town--and social workers are crawling out of he woodwork! It's WHO you know, not especially WHAT you know here in town that will get the job. I guess I just don't know the right people!
Thanks for your kind words!
