18 months out and a new WOW

I just love you to bits.... and so does Bailey!!  She always asks "was Buffy there?   Did you see Buffy?"   Seriously!   She's already got the whole "going Buffy" routine down - you know, that so-relaxed-you're-spineless thing?  Just don't go teaching her about designer this and genuine that, okay?  So far, Wallyworld fits my budget better!!

AWWWWW................That is waaaaay cool!!!!  Happy 18 month surgiversary!!!  I love the WOW moments that you least expect.  Yes, we go into WLS expecting to medically imporve, live longer, do those things we thought we would never be able to do etc.  However, Its those wow moments that you least expect that end up shocking you the most!!!!  Yes, I was shocked when I fit into a size 4 dress (NEVER thought that would happen), but what shocks me the most is that when I tell people i was a 105 pounds heavier, the responses "I would have never thought you were overweight" or "I can't even imagine you being that weight".  They see me being at a NORMAL size, normal person!!!!  It is just sooo awesome!!!

You  mean to tell me YOU had surgery?  NO FRICKIN' WAY!!!    Once again, I SOOOO do not remember you that way.  And we were doing coffee... what, 5 or 6 months before you even HAD surgery?  Wow...

Love you, miss you, hope all them 'Bama folks are treating you right!  One in particular... 

Congratulations on your 18 months towards changing your life forever keep up the great job. I can't wait to have some of these WOW moments that all of you talk about. I see how it makes not only yourself feel good but gives encouragement to others also.

Thanks, Tim!  And YOUR turn is within reach!   WOW moments are fantastic - they give pre-ops and recent post-ops the motivation to keep moving forward!  They give the people having them an opportunity to SHOUT IT FROM THE OH MOUNTAIN TOP!!! ('cuz you just HAVE to share such emotional, happy news!)  And they also give us all an opportunity to thank, encourage, and inspire others - pay it forward, if you will!

Good luck on your LD, I bet you're gonna surprise yourself!  Just come here if it gets rough, okay?  We'll talk you through it!  Or at least we'll talk you to sleep, and you can't eat if you're sleeping, right?
