Thursday Coffee Talk
Well good morning OH Family! LOL I sound like Ty Pennington. HAHA! It's going to be a wonderful Thursday! The week is about over with. Do ya have big plans for the weekend? We plan on cleaning out our basement and storing some things. Time to get it done. How'd ya sleep? I slept great!
Our challenge for today is to be a giver. It is better to give than to receive. We all love to get, but there is an awesome feeling about giving. It makes your heart feel good. It makes you feel good inside. Shoot, it makes you feel good all over. So today, be a giver. Give something to someone. Just a smile is something given. Try giving today instead of getting something. You'll feel better about yourself. There are those that are always looking for something to be given to them. People like that are not happy. They are always scheming a plan to get and they are never satisfied. Giving makes you feel happy and complete. Giving is FREE! Try it today. I dare you!
So, who's up? What cha sipping on? Me? I'm loving me some HOT plane old joe this morning but it sure is good and it sure doe**** the spot. Makes my heart all warm this morning!

Good Morning Friend! This challege is easy for me! I was raised with a very giving family(to the point that people abuse it~ yet we still give). I have found, tho, the simle "gives" mean the most to people. In the back of my mind is that saying "What Would Jesus DO" and "Do unto others as you'd have done to you". I AM human and have made mistakes but try to strive to be more like Jesus and less of me.
I am sipping some Regular Joe with cream of course! MMMMM, sometimes the flavors get boring!

Good post.....I totally agree, It's better to give than receive.......I'm meeting a friend today for coffee to celebrate an award she got. I will give her a hug & smile, but since it's such a special occasion, I'm also buying her coffee and giving her a dozen roses.
She worked so hard at her job this year and I'm so happy that it was recognized by her employer. I hope she doesn't read this or the surprise won't be a surprise.
This weekend a few of us are headed up to North Branch for coffee and to meet new peep's....Other than that nothing is planned. Maybe a hike on Sunday....
BTW, I have a job interview on the 11th....Whohoo....I need to get a job so I'm not home all day grazing......
Love ya, and miss you both.....I'm hoping to come in the Spring to see you.....

Great message, Randy! I've always gotten more out of giving than receiving. I'd go so far as to say I'm a CLOD when it comes to accepting kindness and/or gifts from others! But giving CAN bite a person on the behind sometimes, as you well know. I will not allow a random butt-biting stop me tho, because I get too much from giving!
So it really is kind of selfish, if you think about it. But hey, there are worse things I could be!
