Not even 2 hours after telling my family about the date, I have a dilema. My aunt is making the point that the senior nurses/staff, etc may not be around with Thanksgiving the day after my surgery. And, will my doctor be working? She is worrying as to if I'll get the same level of care as I would say two weeks prior or two weeks after.

Are these things that would concern you enough to change the date? I would guess like most places, everyone works a holiday and I would think the more senior people are more likely to be off around Christmas and suck it up for Thanksgiving. Your thoughts?

Congrats on getting your date!

It will be all worth missing Thanksgiving dinner because there will always be next year. I had my liquid diet during Christmas Holiday, which meant no christmas eve dinner or christmas day dinner. Wishing you the best, your surgery will be here before you know it.
