I'm going to be a puppy mommy! My sister and I are both getting Maltipoo puppies (1 each) from Sandie and her dear family in a few weeks. We are so excited!!! It's been a little over 20 years since I've had a dog so this is going to be like learning how to ride a bike again - or not. LOL

Any tips???

Are these girls just not the cutest ever?!? They are soooooooooooo tiny.

Oh, look at your fab arms Sandie!  SUPER WOMAN!  I gotta start doing doing some resistance training or dumbells for my arms. They're bad and I haven't even begun to lose yet.  You look great!

I HIGHLY recommend that!  ALSO....WATER WATER WATER and LOTION LOTION LOTION!!!!

Thanks for the compliments!  I was bombed with the "pipes" comments yesterday so I had to whip out my before pics to prove that my arms WERE big pre-op!  I also joked that I was a farm girl and I guess I didn't realize there was muscle under it all
Again THANKS!
Have a great SUnday!

Sister and I have agreed we cannot decide on which one is who's yet, so we'll wait until we can pick them up and then we'll just know. Hopefully. We're going with that for now anyhow. We don't want to fight - the babies are too cute!!! I told her I might take them both because I couldn't decide and she very clearly said "OH NO YOU DON'T". buahahaha

Well, your mom is a very likeable person, Sandie! I absolutely loved her.

Cuteness!!! My #1 piece of advice (after working at Petsmart and becoming friends with the pet trainer):

At night, kennel the puppies, preferably in your bedroom (for the first few months at least). Leave only enough room in the kennel for the puppy to turn around in (you can block the back of a bigger cage off with a box)... that way the puppy can't go pee in the back of the cage.. and they won't pee where they sleep.

If the puppy is whining all night, fill a water bottle with warm water and put it in a sock (tie the end)... make sure that the bottle/sock is warm (not hot) to the touch. Then get a small clock that ticks... put the bottle and clock in the back of the cage... it simulates the feeling of a mother's presence... (body heat and a ticking heart). It worked wonders for me!!

2019: 11 years out and maintaining a loss of 150lbs.
