I am heart-broken....

and have to publicly announce that the beautiful leather long jacket that I bought from a consignment house in Duluth (for only $20!) the spring I had GBS is TOO big!! I LOVE this jacket!! It has drawstrings inside so that it could be made smaller, but now even with the strings pulled as much as possible, it's huge on me. WAH!   It was so comfy, and I was able to wear it three seasons/year for 3 years.  Admitting this is traumatic (in a good way--I'm thin enough to admit this jacket needs to be relaced with something that fits.)

You may think that I have gone completely bonkers,    but this jacket went through huge changes with me!  And now--to the Good Will it will go. And I will have to try to find a decent casual jacket/coat to replace it.

Um, sounds like the BEST problem to have!
But, you know what, I have complete faith you will find a great jacket that will keep you just as warm, if not warmer, and that will fit you much better!!!

Thanks, Amy!
I agree that it's a good 'problem' to have, but I really am attached to this jacket--especially when it's zipped up--heehee!
Oh well--I guess it means I have to go shopping..
.

(((HUGS)) to you!

Give your leather jacket a few last strokes and say goodbye. It's served you VERY well for 3 years, you should be proud.  Could you consign it? Maybe make a few bucks towards your new coat?  Good for you though, it's too big is such a great reason to give it up.

Thanks, Kristy!
I'm gonna hate to have to do it...
Poor jacket is looking like it's been worn steadily for 3 seasons for 3 years (and it WAS second-hand to start with.) , so I won't even try consignment.
But with Good Will, it has a chance of being enjoyed by someone else.

I'm soooo excited for you!!  Having a date ot look forward to---YES!!

C'man--you can do it.  Think:  somebody, somewhere, needs a serviceable jacket that you are unable or unwilling to part with.

AND--there is new jacket with your measurements, YOUR name on it, waiting for you!

If I can do it, YOU can do it.

It Is!!  What was once a smart-looking jacket, fitting well, is now  huge and looks like I'm wearing my dad's jacket.

And the truth does not hurt, even though I did deny it for a while!
