A carb season???

I have seen alot of talk about munchies and carbs etc......
I myself have been struggling with the "dirty food thoughts" that lead to extra munching.

Do you believe that this time of the year is harder due to the colder season moving in and our bodies natural instinct'ish to get ready for the cold?

Im being serious.. LOL

Just your thoughts.

I remember last year being like this too.....

Any input?

i think maybe it is the season - with the colder weather i am more apt to stay in - and then i get bored and then i get foraging for food even if i am not hungry.  perhaps it is our hibernation instinct.

I believe that theory.
However, in my previous (fat) life every season was carb season.  Funny thing was I was never cold....always hot and had enough padding with my fat suit that I was always ready for the cold.  I'm looking to buy a personal electric blanket to have on when I'm reading, sitting at the computer or in front of the boob-tube.  Maybe I'll just get an extention cord and have it with me at all times.

The weather has alot to do with it but so does the time change. Our bodies are all off!!

I know many of us are affected by depression this time of year. As the days get colder and darker it throws us off. When depressed we naturally graze more because we spend more time at home and inside. We need the sunshine and the warm weather. Guess we all need to move south!!!

Ya know what LA?  I think you might be on to something!

Nature vs. Nurture - is it our prehistoric memory telling us to fatten up while we can?  Or is it all the Halloween candy and seasonal treats that we think we can only have this time of year?  (pumpkin pie, hot chocolate, Christmas cookies and fudge, and many other various fall/winter goodies?)

Wow... now THERE'S a debate to be had!!!

Yep, I have been saying that too. That's why I've been detoxing lately... trying not to turn to the carbs for comfort.
