My DOC says I ROCK!!!

I see my PCP on Friday - I last saw him in April.  I had my labs drawn last week in preparation for my visit.

Today in the mail, he sent me my lab results with a comment - "You ROCK!!!"   Why?  'cuz my A1C is 5.7!!! 

And for those of you who haven't had to deal with diabetes, THAT would be a GOOD THING!!!  I'm pretty much off all insulin, I only take a whiff when I've been naughty and had too many carbs (10 occasional units, instead of my previous 150/day)

  Sorry, but I haven't been able to wipe this sh*t eating GRIN off my face since I opened that envelope!!!

I have not been on this board very long but it is so awesome to hear great news  that you have overcome such a huge obstacle. With all the support and encouragement you give to others it is nice to hear such great news about you.

You sure do rock!!!  I totally look up to you, and many other wonderful people on here.  You help way more than you even know! 

You do rock Darla!!!  I am diabetic as well and have been off insulin except for when I was pregnant for about 4 yrs now.   It's amazing!!   I do take pills but hey I don't mind a pill.    What a great wow moment!

Well, um.....DUH!!!! of COURSE you rock!!  I just love the reaction I get from my PCP every time I see her and get my A1c-she is thrilled to see that 5.6, let me tell ya!!  That alone makes the surgery worth it, IMHO.
