I have been cold since I started my liquid diet.  I only got worse since surgery.  I have not had a fever either.  Just wondering if this is something that happens with the whole journey?  Any tips or advice???  Thanks.

Layers...lots and lots of layers!!!!!

Seriously, I was cold for the first yearto the extreme. I am just over fours years out and I am seldom hot but still get cold. 70 degrees in my house and I'm cold.

Just takes a new way of thinking and being...we have so much less insulation, and all the chemical changes from the weight loss seems to intensify this. It will get a bit better with time though. Hang in there!

Wonderful!!!!  That's what I thought.  I sleep with my heated blanket, on top of my flannel sheets.  I also have two comforters and sheet.  I hate being cold!!!

If given the choice between being cold and being hot & sweaty, I'll choose cold ANY DAY!

Because it's a "symptom" of losing a lot of weight, and you can ALWAYS add layers - but you can only take off so much, ya know???

I guess it is better than always being hot.  I used to be hot....It's just such a slap in the face!!  I will have to learn to layer.  Thanks for your responses, I know that I'm not the only one now!!!

You most definately are not the only one. I am about 11 weeks post op and I have to do more layering than I ever have had to do. My hubby worries about it, but I tell him that this is a good side effect of the weightloss. I just wonder how 20 below is going to feel ....

yeah, I wonder how 20 below is going to feel too.  I never even wore a coat in the winter before.  It's great to have such a wonderful bunch of people here on the Minnesota board!

Yes, you'll always be cold if you live in Minnesota.

Please spay and neuter your pets!
