We're in the mid to high 70s. That should last until December at least. The past 2 Thanksgivings people have been laying out at the pool.

Please spay and neuter your pets!

Yep!  Welcome to the cold side!!  Let's see get thermal undies, those heat/warmer things, make sure ya get down filled jackets(IMHO they are warmer), heated blankies!, and snow pants.  Yeah! TONS of fun!  You lose weight and look like a snowman anyway in the winter!!
It's ALL worth it tho!

Nope, you will never be warm again.  Just over 4 years out and if it gets below 40 degrees I break out the long underware.

However, If you buy Merino wool underarmor (wool long underware and tops) you will be comfortably warm through the winter months.

It is expensive but well worth the money.

I use to be a person who ALWAYS had the fan on even in the winter and just hot all the time and I'd get annoyed by those skinny cold girls that couldn't believe I was so warm.  Since surgery I'm sooooo cold!!!!  At work we recently moved our offices to a new part of the building and as I was packing I realized I had 12 sweaters, 1 winter coat, 2 fall/Spring coats, 2 blankets all in my office!!!!!  This is just what I had accumulated since surgery back in January.  My new office area is actually a lot colder then the old place but I'm just keeping 2 sweaters some blankets and even a pair of gloves in my office.  I have to break out the gloves now and then because my fingers get so cold and I can't move them.  They say business keep the tempatures colder because it makes people more productive and I have to say I am more productive trying to keep moving so I don't freeze!!!

Thanks all for your replies.  I guess I have some shopping to do for the winter, and have a great christmas list this year!  I guess it is true that your whole world really does change with this surgery.  I am so glad that I had my rny, even despite the coldness.  Thanks again!!!!
