OT: Top 10 things to do when.....
You wake up at 2am and cant get back to sleep....
10 ~ Lay there tossing and turning and ruin your husbands fitful night sleep...
9 ~ Pray to the good Lord for you to relax enough to fall back asleep..
8~ Talk to the dog and ask him "WHY are you up so early?"
7 ~ Make a pot of coffee..
6 ~ Take Bart out for a potty break being careful not to wake the little pup as then everybody will be up.
5 ~ Drink that entire pot of coffee and have to make more for your husband who had a good nights sleep.
4 ~ Replace the light bulb in the fridge that has been out and clean it while in there.
3 ~ Get caught up with the goings on on the puter.. OH, facebook seeing how many friends you can find before 4am.
2 ~ Examine job listings for your husband and apply to them for him.. (OH YES I DO...!)
And the #1 thing to do when you wake up at 2am and can get back to sleep...

Duct tape your hubbys nose and mouth to see if he will stay quiet long enought for you to fall back to sleep..

Although I am completely serious... I am kidding about the duct taping... I think...LOL! I have not been sleeping well for a few days and getting a little punchy. Hoping for a better night tonight..!!

Wow... Dana, you need to try Tylenol PM!!! I used to lie awake for HOURS if I had to get up to pee or something, stressing about things that don't seem NEARLY as horrifying in the light of day! So if I anticipate that, I'll take 1/2 a Tylenol PM before bed and be soundly in la-la land until the alarm (or my bladder) goes off!! Usually 11pm-ish to 5:15am-ish, when Rich gets up. Then I re-crash until MY alarm goes off at 6!
But lately, I've been DEAD! Out by the time my head settles into my pillow, and hardly even MOVE before the alarm goes off! (which, btw.... What's up with THAT???)

I had thought about that but was afraid it merely get me to sleep and not keep me asleep.. Going to try a couple different things this evening like NO DT COKE after 6pm and praying to let go, let God.. As you say... Things really are not nearly as horrifying when you see daylight..

Well just to clarify MY usage, I never have had problems falling asleep, but if I wake up in the middle of the night for ANY reason? I'm screwed. Money, kids & school, my mom, money... it all HAUNTS me! But my 1/2 a TPM helps me STAY ASLEEP! Even if I do wake up, I fall right back to sleep. So it might be worth a try!
