Well, sorry that you haven't had many responses but that is typical if people don't know you.......if ya stick around and participate you'll get more responses.   And as far as addressing issues, I don't see what the difference between which "TOOL" you have chosen , this board is meant for ALL WLS people to come for support whether they can relate or not.  A friend of mine is going for DS and I find it amazing to learn more about it.....I too wish more DS'ers from MN would participate!!!!(hint, hint)  How else are people gonna learn their options?

I think Anna's sequence of events is pretty similar to Dr B's.  But it does take a good part of the day, cuz everyone from the seminar has a clinic appt with him that day, also.  If you're one of the FIRST to get to the clinic in the morning, you generally get to be one of the first to get the consult with him after the seminar . . . so, regardless of you're 'appt time' get their early and wait (or you can stay there late and way :)  )  That's how mine worked out, anyway.  You should get a packet to fill out in the mail, have that filled out.  He's pretty patient and will answer your questions, so have them ready, also.

When i found OH, i was amazed by the network of support i found here, whether it was in the Ontario forum, the main forum, the MN forum or the DS forum.  I think that maybe some people tend to forget what it feels like to be not accepted.  No matter which surgery you choose as your tool to change your life, it's a personal decision, and if it works for you, then all the power to you.  As someone who hasn't had surgery yet, it's sometimes discouraging to read some posts that carry such a negative message towards the surgery they decided not to have.  The most important thing to remember is that everyone came here with the same goal, to find support and info that may or may not take them on any amazing journey to change their lives.  And personally i feel so proud when i read posts from people who have been able to accomplish the smallest but yet feels like the largest feats. Again thank you for sharing your stories.

AMEN!!...VERY well said!  I do hope you stick around the MN board a little (or alot)!  Can't wait to "read" that you are switched and on the losing side
