6 month surgiversary!

Hey everyone!  It will be 6 months tomorrow!  Things are so different than they were 6 months ago.  I am down 85 pounds since surgery and 99 pounds since I started this journey last December!  My knees don't hurt, I am in a size 14 and can run up and down stairs without getting out of breath.  My cholesterol is under 200.  I got my results from my lab draw today and everything looks great.  My Ferritin was 16, so I would really like to increase that.  What iron supplement would you suggest?  Right now I am taking Ferrous Sulfate and it is VERY hard on my tummy.  I feel sick every time I take it.  I need something that is gentle.  Thoughts?

I am so happy to be in Onederland and am getting ever so much closer to my goal!  This has been the best decision I have ever made!

First of all - Yay YOU!  What a great success! Congratulations!

New pictures soon?

For iron my doc recommends Vitron C - it is Iron and Vit C combined and i have not had any trouble with tummy issues - or constipation.  The down side is that it is kinda pricey - and you may have to ask at the pharmacy for it - they don't keep it out on the shelves.

WAY TO GO  Way to rock the tool sista  Um, perhaps an avatar update would be in order.....  about the iron, my levels have been good with just the iron in the multi so if I were you I would ask Gina or one of the staff there as they have dealt with that alot!

Way to go~!!! congrats!! I can't wait to have the same kind of posts. I am actually very encouarged by reading all of the posts on here. Hopefully someday, right now it seems so far away

As far as Iron my surgeon put me on the Vitron C. I have chronic anemia so because I will need to take iron indefinetly he put me on that because it is easier on the tummy and it is absorbed better.
