Don't like new normal---errrrrr
Sweetie, I know exactly how you feel. I was on pills for YEARS, resisting a wimpy doctor's recommendation that I start insulin as well.
I finally hooked up with a GOOD Doctor, the one I've seen now for 5 years. He was straight up honest with me, but he also helped me to understand that needing insulin did NOT make me a failure - my body NEEDED it. The only failure would be to continue fighting it.
Do what your doctors tell you you need to do. Follow their rules, prove to them that you are determined to do the right thing for your body, for your health. They'll be impressed with you for it. WLS isn't just about losing weight and looking better. It's about HEALTH - so find it in your heart and soul to put your health ahead of your pride. And if 4 months becomes 6 months, just trust that it will happen when it's SUPPOSED to happen, and it is DEFINITELY worth the wait!!!
Sending you hugs and prayers -
Imperfect does not = unsuccessful
