Help, I need advice please

Hello, I need some personal advice or inputs.  I was approved for the lap band surgery last week and have a date scheduled for November 18th.  It has been a long wait as in July I was diagnosed with Endometrial cancer and had a radical hysterectomy the beginning of August.  everything went fine, and I was staged at a 1B.  A week after I was released I developed an infection and had to be re-admitted for 2 days.  I had a wound vac placed on my wound for a month.  In September I had 3 doses of high dose internal radiation, the last one being October 2nd.  Since then I have been fine, I feel great and my incision looks wonderful.  My issue is that my surgeon is OK with doing my surgery on the 18th, but my primary care doctor isn't.  I seen my surgeon monthly since May so he is aware of what I went through and has copies of all my hospital stays & pathology reports.  My primary care doctor feels I should wait until December or January because she is concerned about the radiation.  My radiation oncologist has cleared me and even spoke with my surgeon and ok'd it.
My primary care doctor will not do my pre-op physical, but my surgeon has a colleague who is willing to do the pre-op.  Everything is set up, but my primary care DR thinks I'm going to wait.
Is it wrong of me to go ahead with the surgery?  I feel I am healthy and ready, have been ready for a long time and don't want it to be pushed back again.  I am still off work on medical leave until December 1st, so having the surgery now will be perfect because that will give me 2 weeks off to recover which is plenty of time for me to heal.

Boy that's a tough one.  I guess if it were me I'd go ahead with the surgery as long as your oncologist has already cleared it.  The oncologist and your lap surgeon are specialist in their trade and they would really know best and not want to do anything to put you in harms way.  IMO anyway.
