OK..so I have this pain...

it started yesterday after breakfast right in the middle of my stomach area above the belly button.  It has moved to the right side of center today.  It is like an accute cramp.  Food and water are still going down ok and no problem in the bathroom.  Can't lay on my front or back, it hurts most at the deepest part of a breath.  Last night pushing on it made me dry heave.  It's not bad enough to send me to emergency, I'm hoping it will just go away.
Any ideas??

It sounds like maybe a pulled muscle but I would definately give your surgeon a call..  Hope you feel better!

Do you still have your gall bladder?  I am NOT a doctor, but that sounds familiar with what I experienced for several days(lost weight) and it got to the point where I was puking and the pain got worse.  So, um best advice is if it's still there tomorrow go to the doc to be safe......could be many things!
Keep us posted!

Nope...forgot to tell you I lost the gallbladder years ago.
Thanks for your guess though.  I like the pulled muscle idea, even though I really didn't strain to eat breakfast.
Anybody know what an appendicitis (sp?) is like??

Could be an incisional hernia, near one of your lap incisions.  Take it easy, be sure you don't get dehydrated, and if it doesn't ease up soon, GO IN.  If you get to a point where you DO start to throw up and can't keep anything down, GET TO THE ER!  I've had 2 bowel obstructions (strangulated hernias), and I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy - I CERTAINLY don't want that for YOU!!!
