Our TV Debut
First, to Elena. You posted on the OH website that they were looking for volunteers.
That day at work, I logged on and nominated Kelly D, Nicole and I for makeovers. Because of some scheduling conflicts, Kelly D wasn't able to get to the cities to do all of the pre-show work that needed to be done. So Nicole and I were quickly scheduled to have our hair makeovers last week. Then last Wednesday we met with the personal shopper at Macy's.
For me, the clothing that was selected for me really wasn't what I was looking for. The shopper thought that my idea of going out and dancing would be a little more fancy, fine dining style attire. A lot of black. And for those that know me, black is not my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, or sixth color of choice. Its pink all the way for me.
The shopper quickly brought in jeans. I tried on 15 pairs of jeans before I found the ones I like. And the staff there told me I needed to go down 2 more sizes. So I reluctantly agreed. Not really knowing if they would work or not. The boots I knew were perfect for me! And I liked the sweater, but tried something else with the collar. We get to keep all of the clothing!
Nicole and I were honored to have Kelly D and our friend Jon also in attendance at the show. Because without the two of them, today wouldn't have been as special for us. The four of us-as we refer to Hugh Heffner and his girls next door....(Jon is an old friend of mine who we've been hanging out with quite a bit lately. He is in a band that we go see when we get the chance.) These three special friends are the rock in my life. And I am so glad I was able to have them with me today.
I thank my many OH friends who have been there to support me when needed. And in order to be successful at my journey, which couldn't have been successful without you.
Reach for the stars and anything is possible. Now I must go to bed because I am exhausted.
A gazillion thank yous to everyone who has been so supportive of our week. Thanks for watching. Thanks for being there. This has been the best year of my life!

Again Thank you so much for nominating me, under all the cir****tances I had to bow out.....I'm so glad they took Nicole in my place, she deserved this so much......It has been wonderful to see & hear the happiness in Nicole......You both look great, and both deserved this makeover......
To listen to you guys talk about each other in the clip was so touching.....The tears just came streaming down my face....(I was so embarrased) You both did us proud.....Maybe people will see that WLS is a good thing......It saves lives.......
BTW, I love those jeans........
I wouldn't of been anywhere else yesterday.....I was honored to be there watching you guys on TV......
I still think it's funny how the Host guy mentioned on LIVE TV that Nicole was single.........I bet they get e-mails from guys asking for a date with Nicole......
