I have been accepted into college!!!!!  Imagine...me a single mom with 2 kids at 35...YIKES!

I'm going for a bachelors degree in criminal justice.  It's a long commitment, but I'm ready for the next chapter in my life.  I'm so excited and so are my kids...I've never been to college so I'm starting from the bottom...luckily it won't be taking any time away from them, because it is online with Capella.  THE only online college nationwide recognized by the FBI.

As for my weight loss....I'm not going anywhere...except to see Dr Buchwald next month to check me out to see why I stopped losing at my 6 month mark and regained some on top of that.

I'm sorry, but I needed to step out of lurkdom to share and hopefully I'm welcomed to post this.

HELL YES you're welcome to share this!

Allow me to reel us all back into support mode - would you have taken this leap of faith BEFORE WLS???

CONGRATS, Paula - being 35 and a mom of 2 will probably give you the experience and tools to KICK BUTT in the field of criminal justice!

And one more thing, I don't know if you're hoping Dr. B finds an issue or not, but I hope the appointment goes well.  2009 is gonna be another NEW START for you!!!

Thanks ya'll!  This I'm sure I wouldn't have done without WLS.  But now I'm ready.  I finally figured out what I want to be when I grow up!

I'm hoping Dr B has good news one way or the other...either the pouch failed me or I failed it.  If it is me, then I'm prepared to go back to step 1.  If it is the pouch, I'm going to see what he can do to help me.  I just can't imagine that at my 6 month appointment to my 1 year I didn't lose any and now from year 1 to 2 (fast approaching) I've gained back some.

Congratulations!    I am sure you will do well, especially since you won't have to make childcare arrangements for your kids on top of the pressures of studying.

Congrats, Paula!!!

I think that''s awesome your going back to school and I'm sure not having to deal with daycare is a great relief as well.   I hope you get some answers on your check up, please keep us updated on things.

God Bless,

Erika
