Congrats on taking this big step. You gotta have some kahonas to do this, I give you TONS of credit!!  Scary thing to head back to school, I'm still trying to get the guts to do it....

Again thank you everyone!  It is a big step for me...but not one I'm taking lightly.  I'm doing this for me AND my kids.  Showing them that anything is possible.  I want them to admire me for my strength and my determination.  Hopefully this is just one more thing that will help me get there.

HUGE congratulations to you Paula!  I give anybody credit for going back to school -- I'd met life-ling friends during the initial four-year program right after high school.  At the time, it was the only thing to do, and starting later has advantages:  you know who you are, you know your direction, and you're on your way!  GO FOR IT!  Hugs, Patti

That is just it!!!  I know who I am....I know my direction...took me long enough...but here I am.  And hey, by the time I'm done I'll still have another 25 to 30 years of working to do before I can retire...if I make it that long...LOL I just know I want to help people who can't help themselves!  Like kids...I'm thinking of going into work finding online predators... but we'll see when the time comes...maybe there will be something else that will interest me.

Thanks!!!

Congratulations on taking this huge step. It's a leap of faith and one you will never regret!!
It's great to see you posting again.

Update us if you will once you see Dr. B. Of course, I think the world of him (and I haven't even had surgery yet), but I think you'll find the same.

Again, congratulations on getting accepted into the program!

Paula,

Huge Congrats!  That is a big step to take and I agree w/Darla, would you have done this prior to WLS?  I too have gone back to school and find that it is way better now that I have the self confidence to believe in what I am doing.  I know that you are gonna do awesome and I have heard some good things about Capella and to know that it is accepted by the FBI is great!  I hope that you and your doc are able to get things figured out for you and 2009 is gonna rock!
