I want to thank Nicole G. for posting on here yesterday with an update and thank all those that thought of me during this time. I'm home and sipping water and walking. It is hard to walk in this small house at least 5 minutes every hour I'm going to wear holes in the carpet. I'm feeling good except for the gas in the stomach, which as you all said is the worst part of this recovery. I'm lucky it is cold and there are a few flakes of snow on the ground, I don't think I could mow the lawn like Caveman did on two days post op:) I only gained about 4 pounds from all the IV's but am looking forward to go the other way now. Thank all of you agin for the continued support. YAAHOO I'm a LOSER

YAY.....Welcome home and Welcome to the loosers bench..........

The more you walk the more gas you'll get rid of.....But don't overdue it either....

Enjoy the ride......And measure yourself.....You will be amazed on how fast the inches fall off.....

Well how bout raking some leaves?  All that bending will be really good for you. (I'm kidding...I know you know that, but I'm sure someone else won't)

In another day maybe you could hit a mall and do some serious walking...it's the best thing for the gas.

Welcome home and I'm glad to hear things went well.

HIJACK for a comment:
And the mall will have lots of space for a quick getaway from the odour!

odour?  I was referring to the gas from lap surgery...unless you are saying that someone in his house...well, I'm not sure what you are saying....

Canadians do have a funny way of spelling....

Me neither...know what I'm talking about, that is.

Do people not have smelly flatulence after lap procedure, or does that come later??
I did have lap RNY done, but that was so long ago that I don't  recall...could just be my age..

And FYI--I AM AMERICAN! ('sposed to sound like the I AM CANADIAN beer rant--but maybe you guys don't get that commercial.)   I was born and raised in central Wisconsin. The strange spelling was gotten through osmosis or something. Been  up here for 32 years--longer than YOU'VE been alive, Bucko!

BUT anyway--oh forget it.  I already have!!

Welcome home! So glad that things are going well for you. I had surgery in December and it was cold. I made lots of walks around the mall and Wal-mart! But, make sure you get some rest to and do not over do it. Congrats!!

Best wishes on your journey!
God Bless, Angela
