I'm so sorry for your loss - she died way too young.  It's hard to lose such a good friend  Everyone should have a friend like you!

FUCK CANCER   (Now lets see if they edit this)

If they edited it,  Fuhuk cancer is what I was trying to say.

Your anger and your hurt shows just how much you love her.  I think it is a great tribute to her to celebrate her birthday.

There is a poem about "The Dash".  If you haven't read it, search for it on the computer.  Or let me know and I can send it to you.  It is what I read when I'm angry or sad or celebrating my father's death.  It doesn't change your feelings.  But it will make you think about its message.

FUCK CANCER

You are a writer.  This is what you do.  So write away!  We all love you!  And she is looking down at you and she is proud of what you have accomplished this year.  I bet she was there with you each and every time something special happens.

Again **** CANCER

Sounds like you're an awesome friend.  I think it's wonderful you still celebrate Mimi's birthday with her parents.  I hope you're able to remember the good times and know that she's ok now, no more pain.  Hang in there.

Sweetie, I've heard you talk of Mimi on a number of occasions, I know how special she was to you.  I had no idea today that you were hurting, I'm sorry it's so hard for you to share your pain, I certainly would have tried to hug some of the anger and hurt out of you, if only a tiny bit.

Mimi WAS lucky to have you for a friend, and YOU are lucky to have her watching over you now.  I'm sure she's celebrating all the good things that have happened in your life, proud of your accomplishments.

Never hesitate to call me if you need to vent, honey - I love you SOOO much!  And if I can do anything to help you, I hope you know I will be happy to.

Elena-

So sorry for your pain as you remember a friend who "the beast" took at such a young age.  I know that Mimi is watching you from above and is so proud of all of your accomplishments.  It is difficult to lose a friend at any age, but even more difficult in the prime of life.  I'm sure her family appreciates you helping them to keep her memory alive!

May you go from strength to strength.

Elana,

She was a very beautiful person, and from what you have said... inside and out.

I understand and feel your pain and anger. As I am sure many do, as cancer I believe has touched everyone in some form.

My heart goes out to you at this time, and you will be in my prayers.

Diane

I am not short... I am fun sized!!
