Suggestions for my pre-op appointment?

I have my pre-op appointment tomorrow along with my pre-op class.

Are there any questions you belive I need to make sure to ask? Anything you wished you'd have asked or found out before your surgery?

Good morning!  First CONGRATS!!  You are just begining this unbelieve ride! 

If you could tell us which program you are going through that may help with the questions as each office is different!

I am have a Roux-en-Y at University of Minnesota on Dec. 1.

Hey Hon!  HOW EXCITING!!!!  WOOHOOOOOO!!!  Getting sooooo close!

Now, WLS is soooo personalized.  It all depends on personal cir****tances on why obesity(ie: genetics, genetics+, eating habits, ect).  For me personally, having trauma in my past and also gentically obese, I wish I would have had known to have had therapy before, during and after WLS.  BUT that was me.  It is sooo hard to know what to ask. 
As long as you have done extensive research, know the typical what to expect then hon, bring on the WLS!!!!!  You'll do great and the class will help tonight!!! AND I wish I had known about this sight!!! (I found it 3 months post op)

I feel like a broken record, but the one thing that upset me MOST was finding my weight UP at my 1 week post op!!!   I was ANGRY!  Okay, so it was IV fluids, on top of getting in MOST of my 64 oz./day right off the bat, so it was explainable, and it was all gone AND THEN SOME by my 1 month appt.  But DANG, I wish someone had enlightened me there!

Oh My I remember that too!!  That and feeling so very tired!  Even though I did my research and knew what was coming I didn't realize it until someone else pointed it out!  A good support system is essential!  Surround yourself with those who have been there and those that love you.  Come ask ANYTHING because you won't be alone, I promise at least half of the people on the boards have been through it!  Our journeys are different but there are some very similar aspects!

They go over everything pretty good. I am a week out and fresh out and I have questions constantly. I am living for the advise of my OH friends....They have been awesome!!
