1 Week Post Op ??

Hia all,

I do have a call into my surgeon but I am curious how many of you had this pain on your left side under the ribcage and what the pain felt like. Mine has prevented me from being comfortable and sleeping and does seem to get better....but more piercing when I sip or eat or walk....the 3 things I need to be doing. I have been told its normal but.....oweeeeeeee!! Should I totally be off meds at 7 days? I havent teken em for a few but maybe thats my problem?? Help!! Other than that I feel great??

It wouldn't hurt to call your nurse or doc and ask them.

It's probably gas, but let us know what your surgeon says.

Hi there! I am almost 4 weeks out, and I have the same pain! Mine is on both sides though... I assumed it was normal healing pain!? Let me know what you find out if you call!

I agree....check in with your surgeon. I think it is probably just gas and pain from moving your insides around but check it out anyway.

Hello    I had my surgery on the 17th of October.  and I had the exact pain that you are saying.  They told me its from them putting the gas in your stomach.  Mine went away after about 10 days.  They said if it didn't go away that they would give me a script. f******edicine.  But don't worry it will go away.  Hope this helped.....  Good luck!!!
