update on Niece that wa**** by semi
Thank you for all your prayers.I was down to see my sister and niece today at Regions Hospital. Amanda has screws and rods everywhere on her left side. She is still very sedated. They have been starting to wean her from the ventilator. In the past few days they have been able to have her off for up to 1/2 hour. Today they didn't even make it 15 mins. She started flailing and looking like she was panicing. They tried to settle her down. They gave her more drugs than they have since she got there. She continued to be agitated for hours. We had bought her an Ipod and had my oldest son put his type of Christian music on it. He downloaded 358 songs. This evening they put the headphones on her and she settled down almost right away. God is so cool. I found out today that in the ER alone they gave her 23 pints of blood. They are starting to think she may have a brain injury. Please continue to pray. She doesn't have any insurance. We are praying that the Canadian truck company will come thru without any hassle.

My heart breaks for you to even see your niece in such critical condition. My prayers continue for a miracle for Amanda and your family.

I am so sorry but I am happy that Amanda is improving to some extent! I will be praying for her!
Sharin, continued prayers for sweet Amanda's recovery. (Several years ago I had noted in my Living Will for my MP3 player, loaded with 350 modern/traditional Christian songs) headset to be on 24/7 whenever I'm 'alone'.) Our God is Awesome....I pray His will be done. Blessings and love, Patti (I also pray the Canadian liability insurance has changed since fifteen years ago when a driver for my brother's soybean crop had been hit by a Canadian semi. in Minn...won't go into details, but am praying for the best outcome phyically and financially for Amanda!)
