Four weeks out today and so grateful!
WOW, remember how every fall we'd pull out our winter clothes only to discover they've shrunk over the summer? Must have gremlins in my closet because my size ten, long wool coat is HUGE! Was a shocker, especially with the acute post-surgical edema. I've put pics and journal into profile. Warning, the pics are graphic, not for the faint-hearted. Regardless of appearance, they ARE exclusively swollen thighs, nothing else. Am so grateful for this experience, and realize this is something many people would not be able to remain positive and humorous throughout. My cup overflows this pre-Thanksgiving week! Am so grateful for genuine unconditional friends! Have a wonderful day everyone! Hugs, Patti

Thanks for sharing this journey with us!! Looks soooooo painful! I am nervous as today I head to the PS and the paperwork will be sent out yet again with more documentations, more doctors reccommending, ect. If my knees didn't hurt I'd be toooooo scared to go thru with it. But I am tired of living on pain meds just to make it thru a day!
Again, Thanks for sharing!

You are what you EAT and WHO you hang out with! Choices=Outcome~ what's YOUR choice??
I'm not perfect but I am going to die trying!!!
Sandie, it IS painful, although every day gets a bit better than the previous. Takes a lot of patience--and like WLS, gotta keep focused on the end result--although in this case can be six months to one year out! I'm actually looking forward to supporting you when it's your turn, having already been through it myself! (I've got a nice list of things to prepare for 'before' and d for'after' if you're interested) You'll do great: faith, perseverance, and positive attitude will carry us through! Hugs, Patti
