I'm so impatient.
I am so impatient its pathetic. So I just posted yesterday that my ins info was being submitted. So on my way to work, I called BCBS-NE just to see if they had it yet. She said she did not see it yet but that they may have it and its just not logged into the system yet.
So then I gave her the old "Normally, how difficult is it to get approved?". She said that usually if you plan allows it they get approved. She said that usually the only ones that get denied are the ones that send in for preapproval who's plan does not allow WLS. And that if my Dr. indicated the medical necessity of the surgery there is no reason why it wouldn’t be approved. She said I should have an answer within 10-14 days.
So we wait!!

Waiting stinks! I hope you get your approval quick. I have BCBS MN and it took only 8 days. (That's assuming it was submitted the day of my surgeon consult on 10/21,and the WLS clinic called me the same day the approval went through. 10/19) Could have actually been shorter than 8 days technically.
