Question about opening size!!!

So I was eating a few grapes today and accidently swallowed a grape whole (because my grandson asked me a question and I was talkling with my mouth full -- payback from ignoring what my mother taught me....!!!).  I tried to gag it back up but couldn't and then swallowed it so it wouldn't get stuck in my throat.  I thought "great -- this is gonna hurt later!!!"  Well, it's been six hours and still nothing.  I even ate dinner and that seems to be going fine. 

So -- stupid question I didn't think I'd have to deal with cause I chew EVERYTHING to bits -- does the opening grow large enough to fit a grape through it?  Any chance it is still in there?  Or did it pass through? 

Maybe it'll come up still but I'm starting to wonder???!!!!

I don't have the RNY, but similar to the band.. I think if you guys get it stuck, you know right away. My assumption is if you didn't feel it right away, it went down. And even if it did get stuck... I think the acids in the stomach would have eaten away at the grape pretty quickly. That's just my thought on it...

Im sure you would know by now if it was to cause problems.  Watch for a grape on the other end now!  No worries... just becareful!!!!

Well ...........I know a cherry bit is smaller thsn a grape, but I did that once by accident and i also swallowed gum once, I think you'll be ok.  If you are not feeling any discomfort.  Your past the newbie stage, I guess that would freak memore.  Hope everything turns "out" ok :)

Hey there sweetie,  I think you would of known by now...... You more than likely wouldn't have been able to keep other food down if it was stuck in there and i strongly feel you would be able to feel it... ( this is from my own experiences)  Take care   Marsh
