Got my insurance letter!

I am pretty new here, but I am so motivated by all of your stories that I am finding myself wanting to share my good news with everyone!  So I have had my surgery date for about 4 weeks now and today I received the letter from my insurance - and yes it was APPROVED!!!  I am very excited and now getting a little nervous since it is less than 2 weeks away.  Just wanted to share!!  Thanks!

Congratulations!!  I bet you are very excited and you should be!  I'm getting the lap band on Dec 3rd.  What's the difference between a lap band and realize band?  Where are you having it done at? 

From what I hear it is just the manufacturer is what is different.  My surgeon prefers the Realize over Lapband - not sure why.  Thanks and congrats on your upcoming date.  I am having my surgery at the U of M Fairview in Mpls.

I see your surgeon is Dr. Leslie. He is doing my surgery as well, but I'm having an RNY on Dec. 1.

The way U of MN does it I think causes more anxiety than anything, getting your date and then getting approval. Made me very anxious. I'm so glad you are through that part.

Thanks for the encouraging words!!  this week has been kind of nerve racking - have I done everything I need to do to prepare for this surgery.  I still need to finish cleaning and getting the Christmas stuff up.  And of course go and get the foods that I need in the house for post surgery.
