Hi everyone-

First, I do plan on calling my Doctor on Monday.........

But until then, Do you have any idea why I would swell up from the knee down and my feet after walking/jogging on my treadmill? The top of my feet actually hurt where they bend......

Any idea's???

I do take Lasix for water retention......
I do get in my water, 64 oz. +

Thanks in advance, Kelly

Kelly:

I know a couple of WLS folks who have edema (which sounds like what you are describing) and they wear support/compression stockings at least some of the time.  Edema can be caused by a number of things, including too much salt intake and certain medications.  There are other, more serious causes, too.  A trip to the doc on Monday is probably a good idea.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Kelly...I am glad you will be contacting your doctor on Monday.

Keep your feet elevated and don't get on the treadmill until you talk to your doctor...not trying to be bossy...just concerned!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I say this will love GF!!!  Why are you waiting to CALL the doctor in  5 days?  Could be something worse -- it's not normal -- GO to the doctor now......5 days from now any damage could end up as being permanent.  None of us here are doctors and you shouldn't use advise here to assess things that are not normal that need to be addressed by a doctor.

Barb,

Thank you.....I did end up calling my Doctor yesterday, he was booked full because of the Holiday, and is closed till Monday.....I have an appointment Monday morning at 9am.

I'm concerned myself as the bottoms of my feet are either brite white or purple....Also I have the sensation of pain like frostbite........I'm starting to think it's a circulation problem, but I'm no Doctor........

I will update on Monday, just in case this happens to anyone else......

Thanks again.....Kelly
