Making Thanksgiving about giving thanks
I always try to make every holiday about something besides FOOD. I think doing this is KEY for all of us going through this 'lifestyle change.'
So, what will you do this Thanksgiving Day that makes it about giving thanks?
Me? I plan to help my mother with cleaning all the dishes (and there are TONS of them)... after the meal. I want to give thanks for everything she's done for me by doing a little something to make her day easier.

First off Happy Thanksgiving my friend...........May I say, you have rocked your band and look wonderful.......
I'm Thankful that I can spend the day with my hubby and son's......I'm looking forward to just sitting and visiting with each other. I'm sure we'll play family games, etc.
This is our way of giving to each other, Time spent together......It is so precious and the best gift of all.......

For me, I will be going down to the cities to visit with my sister in the hospital again. Then on Saturday the whole family is coming over and I will be cooking dinner for everyone. I will have plenty of help as my daughter Shawn will be home from Indiana for the weekend!! I am very thankful for that.
This is the first Thanksgiving without our other sister, Joyce so the year has been tough on all of us, especially my older sister....Mikki.....She is really having a hard time of it.
Before going to the cities, of course hubby and I are visiting MIL at the nursing home. She is still fighting and the Drs are just dumbfounded. I know I haven't been real good about updating, but we have been on a constant roller coaster for the past month. Her hemoglobin is slightly improved but not enough to make a difference. They are still trying to keep her comfortable and I thank God that He has given us all a little more time with her.

Hi Elena....I helping out Dwayne's daughter, husband and baby. They will be here Friday. They are uncomfortable with Dwayne's roomate and asked to be with us at my place instead. Saturday we will all be going to Dwayne's sister's home to have Thanksgiving with all his family. I know I will be helping out there.
I am thankful for Dwayne but mostly I am thankful for my daughters, their families, and all my friends. That includes all of you here on the Mn board!!
