I'm home - surgery rescheduled
good morning, kristy:
HAPPY TURKEY DAY!!!
that sounds like one heckuva high anxiety day all the way around, girl. i'm sure that by now you've moved on- but i wanted to add my two cents worth, too. the meds will help next time. things do happen for a reason.and as for the azzzreaper- well --- s&*t happens, too.
you've gotten lots of great support and response already, hun, but i did want to say again - go thru your reasons for having this done. use them as a mantra to reassure yourself. it WILL be better next time around. and until then - try to not be a 'freaky mess' cause this, too, shall pass.
have a great weekend.
hugs

AGING IS INEVITABLE
GROWING UP IS OPTIONAL!

Bummer! You don't suppose your PCP injected you with something to make you break out on the day of your surgery, did she? :) What a twit! Or at least you can blame her and feel slightly better about things. Or not. (I know she didn't - it was your nerves)
You have the right attitude. Everything DOES happen for a reason. Don't know why. But there is. And its times like these when you realize how powerful your mind can be. But you can do it. You have the tools to settle down, relax a bit, and now you know what to expect in a couple of weeks.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving. Then get back on the wagon and work at preparing for your upcoming surgery. My deepest sympathies for having to drink the lemon crap again. But remember if you stick to a liquid diet, you won't have much crap to get rid of. Literally!
Lots of hugs to you! :)

Awww, Kristy!!
This surely must be an huge disappointment for you! HOWEVER--as you and others have said--things happen for a reason which we are not always privy to. Two weeks' wait is not a long time and it will pass quickly.
I will continue to lift you in prayer, for peace of mind AND body!
Enjoy your Thanksgiving! Now you can enjoy the feast--but you may find that your body isn't wanting the quantities it demanded before the 'cleansing'.

Thank you guys. Surprisingly, I'm not upset about postponing the date. I'm not having second thoughts at all. I KNOW 100% it's the right thing. I am however upset with my aunt who writes this email:
"Are you relieved that things worked out this way? I'm sure you've heard a hundred times 'things happen for a reason'... I kind of agree. Did the hives go away? Your body was commanding your attention and the surgeon's, pretty powerful stuff. Now you have time to re-think your options -- there are other ways to get where you want to be (~.~)"
NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE!
This from a woman who lost 70 pounds doing liquid diet program through her hospital a few years ago , gain it and more back, and is doing liquid diet again. Hum..... Bygones!

Kristy (weight loss below does not include 16lbs lost during pre WLS diet)
START: 325 Day of Surgery :309 GOAL: 180
I am so sorry Kristy. I would be very upset if that happened to me. You wait so long to have the surgery that it feels like forever, and then this delay, it sucks. Hopefully it will be soon and the time will fly by.

"On the lighter side" Everyone and anyone welcome!
You poor thing.... but I agree, there was a reason, and you may never know what it is/was.
But for your aunt? All I could think of was - "I've thought about my options and made MY decision. Good luck with YOURS." I mean seriously, anyone can lose a mess of weight on a liquid diet. NOT MANY can keep up a liquid diet for the rest of their life. Surgery gives you a tool to help you re-learn your relationship with food, and it WILL be there for the rest of your life. Sounds WAY healthier to me.
