Hey Elena, the pic of you and your look-alike-sister is just precious!  You just glow, gal!  I love Thanksgiving, and was not let down!  Spent the day at my elder sister and hubby's, their 24 yr old son and 27 yr old daughter and her hubby, and my younger sister and hubby, and their ten yr old son and eight yr old daughter.  Our gatherings are very fun and loud!  And this was not even half the entire family!  We gals all play piano, and always play duets, a holiday tradition of which we all participate from age 53 down to age eight!  I can hold my own with cooking/baking/decorating, though both sisters are often compared to Martha Stewart--with personality and humor, and no questionable legal issues!?!!!  Ha!  My tradition Thanksgiving evening is to always put on Christmas music, decorate, and start getting fifty-plus cards ready to always mail out the Monday after Thanksgiving. Got most of it accomplished, plus a four hour hap.  Ongoing daily blessings to each and all!  Hugs, Patti

It was just my immediate family home all day.  It was so nice not to have to get dressed up, head over to someones house or have to entertain.  It was very low key.  Even did some house work, some painting, had a very nice traditional meal in the middle of the day....and very very informal.  Everyone in my family agrees that this was the best way to spend it.  It's not that we are anti social, we had a big extended family gathering last weekend...so all is good and I'm thankful for that.

My mother is in assited living and not able to get out right now. So the majority of my family about 40 of us had Thanksgiving in the homes fellowship hall. It was a wonderful day and my mother really enjoyed having most of the falmily there. We had a traditional turkey dinner. My family enjoys eating they made enough food to feed a small army. With this being my first major holiday since surgery I did very well and only had a small piece of turkey, two bites of stuffing and potatoes and one dii pickle spear that tasted the best of everything. I did go out into the lobby when the six pies came out for dessert I have  will power but that was pusjing it to much at this point in my journey. I took my mother back to her room around 6.

Great picture --- The hubby and I spent the day talking and joking while I did the cooking.  Then we ate and took a plate to the FIL and visited with him.  Home early and vegged some more.   PERFECT day.......

Hi everyone,

Spent a nice relaxing day at home, cooked, cleaned and tasted along the way...........overall I was pleased with my choices, you know,  maybe a little too much on the crackers and Bri, but what they hey..................................no where near what the day used to feel like.

Then this morning renewed my drivers lic and didn't  lie about my weight, it is what it is also had my internal med physical, I'm back on cholestoral med, gave it a year without, but my genetics make it necessary for me.

but my BMI when from 49 to 29.6 Impressive I think!

Right now, just sipping my Dunn Brothers, gonna do a little knittin' and maybe go to the movies with hubby to see  "Austraila"

love ya all, cause you are my self made family.......................( I've disconnected from the other crazies in my life) well, ok that still leaves a few of you, lol

Gorgeous pictures!!

Our day was pretty low key.  Roger came over and Brie, Scott and Domi  :)  We put all the dogs but 2-3 in the basement and had a wonderful dinner.  While I didn't stuff myself I did take a bit of everything.  Ate a decent amount and enjoyed more watching Domi get his first taste of sweet potatoe and cranberries  :)  Those turned out to be his favorites.

A bit later my son Brett and his girlfriend Lindsey with grandmonsters Emma and Michael stopped in for a few - Linds works at Walmart so had to be at work at 230...  they were heading home so she could get a nap in.  We did manage to get a picture of all three grandkids though!

Got a chance to sit and watch Jeff Dunham's Christmas Special on DVD...  love that guy!!

I made Tirimisu Triffle... what a treat!!!  All sugar free  :)  it's pudding, SF chocolate sauce, SF cool whip and Vanilla wafers and coffee...  YUMMO!  lol  also made SF pumpkin pie.  I just ate the insides and left the crust  :)

I figure I can treat myself on the actual holidays as long as I behave very well all the days inbetween  :)  I still tend to make good choices though... because they feel the BEST! and make me happy and isn't that what it's all about?  Happy and Healthy?  :)

*hugs and love!*

I posted this on another thread, not having gotten to this one yet -

I had a great day!  Started out with an unexpected soak in my brother's new hot tub (outside on his patio - FABULOUS!), then came home to the egg bake I prepared Weds. night.  Just my family, my mom, and my dear friend June over.  Chatted away the afternoon, just relaxing and sipping.

Then once my daughter's BF showed up, we headed down to the in-laws for the turkey dinner!  I ate the neck (love the neck!), a scoop of dressing, some veggies and 1/2 a dinner roll.  GOOD TO GO!   Had a lil' punkin pie later, about 1/3 of a "normal" slice, watched Wall-E with everyone, sang Happy Birthday to my mom (83 years young!), and took the BF home -  VERY THANKFUL that food is no longer the focal point of the day!!!

I'm thinkin' I need to nudge my brother to make that morning soak an annual thing...  29 degrees outside, 105 in the tub!!
