I am trying to put together a doable exercise routine... and do something that I actually enjoy. But seeing as I haven't exercised in forever, I don't really know what all my choices are out there.

SO, WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO FOR EXERCISE?? (Give specifics please!)

Thank you all in advance!!

Walking has always been my main exercise. Any kind. Hiking, walking around the block, around a park... etc.

Another thing I do.... is I am always going up and down the stairs here at home, as we have two flights inbetween our room, and the laundry. Plus beings I don't sit still well anymore, I am forever cleaning... so again, more up and down the stairs...

I know, not real exciting, but it is working for me.

I am not short... I am fun sized!!

Glad to hear more about the Wii Fitness--have been thinking about getting one, and thanks to you I  just decided to go get mine tomorrow.  Yippee, I want my 'like having a personal trainer' and like that it 'yells at you if you aren't consistent!'  Can't wait to check it all out in the morning!  Thanks again for bringing this up!  Happy moving!

If you belong to a gym I would recommend the elliptical machine they have a good fat burning program for it. I also like using the bikes. I would try to do this every other day and on the other days do light weight lifting with high reps. Doing the resistance training will really help build your muscle which in turn helps you burn more calories.
before my surgery I had a trainer and this is what I did and it worked very good the only problem was the cost. Now that I have joined the losers bench I am going to get back into this routine after I get cleared to move forward with more ex cerise. I can talk to you if interested at MG tomorrow.

I love being a member of the Y.  They have many different types and levels of water aerobics, plus various times.  They also have water walking and all the different types of workout machines, plus the membership is fairly reasonable.
