Dr. Buchwald

I was just wondering if you have to pay for your consultation with Dr. Buchwald and if so how much is it. My insurance is OHIP if that makes a difference!!

I do not believe so unless you are self pay; however, Danette is Dr. B's assistant and would be the best person to answer this question.

Hi there Diamond girl....Thanks for the reply, I was sure Danette had told me that there was no charge but my friend who is going through this with me swears that Danette told her there was a fee....So to say the least I am confused and would like to be prepared when I go there on the 17th of Dec. If you have the contact info that would be great if you don't mind. Also wondering if you have had surgery yet, and is there anything you can tell me, anything I need to know before I get there, surgery etc?? Any info is greatly appreciated.

The Seminar portion is free.  However, after the seminar you will meet with Dr. Buchwald and you will be charged for a regular MD office visit for that.  You will discuss the different surgeries and tell him what surgery you are interested in. 

So, the appointment with Buchwald would be an office visit charge.  I had a $20.00 co pay and my insurance covered the visit.
