Hair Loss

For those who had hair loss from WLS, I was wondering when they started to see regrowth.  I lost hair at my 4-5 month, it stopped a while back but now I'm not sure if I'm seeing any "sprouts".  I do take Biotin, lots of protein and water.

Ya know, I'm not sure WHEN I started to notice re-growth, but I HAVE noticed that the re-growth is coming in quite a bit curlier than my "old" hair!  Got a cut the other day, had some layering, and DH thought I got a perm!  I kinda like it...   It's still thinner than I'd like it to be, but I wouldn't trade it for the tonnage I lost along with it!  In fact, I remember times when I thought the loss had stopped, and I BUMMED 'cuz I thought that might mean the WEIGHT LOSS had stopped, too! 

Next time you get a trim, ask your stylist if (S)HE notices any re-growth. - they have a good eye for that stuff and notice things standing over your head that you couldn't possibly see in a mirror!

Hi, I'm not far from you, I'm in Clayton. My inlaws live in Dresser! I've had alot of hairloss since surgery, but I have such thick hair that I didn't miss any that I lost. But I just last month started on the B12 injection, and the hairloss has stopped.

My personal experience is around 8-9 months. Unfortunately I don't have the thick hair I used to and i'm 3 years out :-(  I think it's different for everyone though.

Hi Alana....I too noticed regrowth at about 8 months out. Mine has come back kind of wavy too.....not sure I like that.
