Okay Anyone have any ideas out there

So I spent Sunday Nov 23 through Nov 26th in the hospital for a small bowel obstruction. They got me cleared out somewhat and sent me home on a couple of things
1)Miralax
2)sennas

3) Colace

4)Vegatable Oil (Sounds weird but it goes through my g-tube)

So I left the hospital and literally the next day the bowels stop moving completely again. I am taking all this stuff and have an appt with my pcp on friday and a gi specialist on tuesday but what the hell what can I take or do to get stuff "moving" again. I went only a little today and that is itl. my tummy is bloated and its uncomfortable and I am in pain more than my normal chronic pain and my nausea sucks but I don't know what to do till my appts. Anyone have any ideas on what else to do. I am not supposed to do enemas unless I am supervised in the hospital cause of my medical and causing severe pain as well as stimulate laxatives so what is a girl to do? It is getting really draining.

On a side note, prayers please for my grandma. She had a stroke today and they are tyring to figure out the cause but they haven't yet.

Thanks

Alannah

Alannah,  I say this with concern and caring - this is NOT the place to come for such advice.  You have significant medical issues, beyond what most anyone here has experience with, and I seriously doubt anyone here is qualified to help you.

If your discomfort is that bad, you should consider going to the ER, or at LEAST an urgent care center that is familiar with your issues, to help you find relief.  And I will send up a prayer that you DO find relief.  I've been on the bowel obstruction train twice and wouldn't wish that on ANYONE.

I have talked to the dr on the phone and they said that since I don't eat very much and therefore don't produce much I should be okay till friday when my pcp can take a look at me.   At some point though, they hope to have it moving again soon. I have an appt with pcp tomorrow(friday) and a gi specialist on tursdau. Thanks

HI Alannah~

I'm afraid I have no advice for you--I concur with what the others have said. You sure have been through hell and back .

You and your Grandma are in my prayers, Sweetie.

Hi! I also had a horrible episode with my bowels a while back... I have since become a water drinking fool! My doc said at least 80oz a day - then after 6 kidney stones - that doc said 100oz a day. Make sure you're drinking as much as possible! Keep following up with your docs & don't let this go too long... Good luck!

I'm so sorry you have to deal with all of this Alannah! It sounds like what they gave you *should* do the trick, so I have no advice. I'll pray for you and grandma and sending  hugs to you both!
