Help... Calcium supplements and kidney stones

Have any of you dealt with kidney stones, as a result of taking the calcium supplements?

What do you do to avoid having this issue reoccur??
My supervisor had surgery in August, has been doing really great, and now has kidney stones, I know I was warned this was a possibility, but never really concerned myself with it.

Any opinions, or suggestions???

I remember being told that drinking a lot of water helps to flush the kidneys.

she is doing tons of cranberry juice too.

I have been told you can get cranberry supplements that are really strong to help flush the system.

I'd have her call her surgeon's office to discuss.

Water...water...and more water.....that is what I am told to do. Have her check with her doctor maybe they have another idea.
